Our Staff Are the Cornerstone of Our Business

We recognise at Chambers Joinery that our employees are one of our key strengths and a cornerstone of our business.

Our team of joiners significantly contribute to Chambers Joinery being the company that it is today. They support plans for future growth and as a company we are conscious of the need to attract, retain and reward the best employees.

We work hard to develop our staff, as they in turn help us to develop their business. We believe that if their staff are satisfied and well rewarded, then the company is better placed for progression and success. All our joiners are time served craftsmen and hold the relevant Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card as proof of their skills and health and safety awareness.

Each year Chambers Joinery runs a joinery apprenticeship training scheme in conjunction with Construction Skills and the Lakes College, Workington. This ensures that our workforce is continually being regenerated by staff who are trained to the highest available standard from their time of entry into the industry.

All of our apprentices are trained to at least NVQ Level 3. A key aspect of our apprenticeships is giving the opportunities to young people to learn from the more experienced work force who can pass on their skills.
